Hampshire Ornithological Society
i) To advance the education of the public in all aspects of ornithology.
ii) To promote research into ornithology and to publish the useful results of such study.
iii) To support and encourage the preservation and conservation of wild birds and places of ornithological interest.
HOS has around 1800 members and publishes an annual report on birds in the county and a quarterly, full colour newsletter. We have an annual meeting in the spring and have a wide ranging programme of walks throughout the year. These are open to members and non-members.
We aim to support conservation and research activities related to the county's birds through a grant process open to organisations and individuals. Any donations to HOS will be put towards these activities.
