Green's Windmill Trust

Charity description

Green's Windmill Trust logo
Green's Windmill Trust promotes the reputation of George Green, the 19th century 'mathematical miller' and the heritage of milling through education, events and operating the working windmill.

George Green was a remarkable mathematical physicist in the early 19th century who made many discoveries about such things as light, sound, electricity and magnetism. You can visit his windmill - which has been restored to working order - and the adjacent interactive Science Centre. Following the loss of it's City Council funding, the windmill is now run by the Green's Windmill Trust. Your donation will help keep our sails turning and ensure we remain open for the enjoyment of future generations.
