Grantham foodbank provides emergency food, collected from the local community, to local people in crisis.

Foodbanks provide emergency food, collected from the local community, to local people in crisis. 

Grantham foodbank was launched on 1st July 2011. It was developed under the auspices of Churches Together in Grantham and District and is part of the national foodbank network seeded by the Trussell Trust.
In the year April 2017 to March 2018  a total of 1,384 vouchers were fulfilled helping to provide 26,487 meals for 2,009 adults and 934 children.

More than 50 agencies are registered to issue foodbank vouchers.

In addition to our crisis food distribution we have developed the following services to our clients under the banner “more than food” 

* supply of good quality used clothing and household essentials, 
* in-house benefits advice and on site debt advice

These services are all aimed at helping clients to avoid future crisis situations.
