Glenelg Mountain Rescue Association

Charity description

Glenelg Mountain Rescue Association logo
We provide the search and rescue service for the Glenelg Peninsula on the West Coast of Scotland. We are all volunteers and rely on funding and donations from the police, sponsors and members of the public.

The Association was originally established in 1973 by Dr Catherine MacInnes (the then local G.P.) to cover the Parish of Glenelg. It completed its registration as a charity in 1974. The Glenelg Mountain Rescue Team pride themselves in
providing a search and rescue service;

“ANY HOUR, ANY DAY, ANY WEATHER”
