A beautiful, bright and lovely girl called Georgia Morris died on October 11th, 2016, after a long and very brave struggle to overcome an aggressive childhood cancer called Neuroblastoma. She was 12 years old. Georgia’s parents were not able to fundraise whilst she was alive as there was no treatment available anywhere that would have helped her, above that which she received. So they set up “Georgia’s Fund” in her memory, to help advance research into new ways of treating this disease, particularly immunotherapy, to give the Georgias of the future a better chance.
Georgia’s cheerfulness, stoicism and courage in the face of all the treatments and the illness was extraordinary, and will inspire her family for the rest of their lives, as they miss her terribly. Georgia was a very special girl, who touched many people through her incredible spirit and love of life. Her parents and brother will do everything they can to keep that spirit alive in her memory, by helping others like her. Thank you for reading, and for supporting if you can. Richard, Selena and Charlie Morris.
Georgia's Fund is a restricted fund under the auspices of Prism the Gift Fund.
