Fylde Food bank

Charity description

Fylde Food bank logo
Fylde Foodbank provides emergency three-day food relief to those experiencing financial hardship in the Fylde area.

Fylde foodbank opened on 30 September 2014. Developed under the auspices of Churches Together in Kirkham and District, we are part of the national Foodbank network seeded by the Trussell Trust.
The foodbank became fully operational from premises at the Church Rd Methodist Centre, St Anne's.
Those premises allowing us to operate the Warehouse and Office whilst providing space to meet and work with clients. The premises complimented the original space in the CAB building at Kirkham where the foodbank had been operating from since the original vision in September 2013.

We have now expanded and operate from three centres on different days of the week –
Fylde Borough Council Public Offices, St Anne's, (temporary), Citizens Advice offices in Kirkham, together with an On Call service at Warton providing cover for the whole of the Fylde area.

Since opening the foodbank in September 2014, a total of 7581 adults and children in crisis have been fed.

Fylde Foodbank continues to fulfil the aims of providing food to people and families in crisis. Through the generosity of the people in the area the foodbank continues on a sound operational and financial basis.
