Thank you for visiting Friends of Pooles Park profile page on MyDonate.

As part of this year’s Citi Global Community Day, London CIB will be volunteering at Poole’s Park Primary School.
If you are unable to give your time for Community Day but would like to contribute in another way, we will be aiming to raise money to allow Poole’s Park to buy some much-needed items from their Wish List!
Any contribution you are able to make, large or small, would be greatly appreciated and would make a big difference at Poole’s Park Primary School! Thank you for your support.

Digital Cameras £159 each
Having a camera for each year group would mean that we could document children's learning progress in situations where it isn't possible for the child to evidence it. In the early years and KS1 particularly, cameras are essential in capturing children's learning before they can formally write or draw it themselves. Having digital cameras would also mean that we could share our experiences out of the classroom, on trips or with visitors, with the rest of the school and with our wider school community.

Musical equipment £165 total
We currently have very little music resources to work with and there have been many studies which have shown that there are so many benefits to be gained from learning a musical instrument, such as developing skills of perseverance, better mathematical ability and experiencing a sense of achievement. Unfortunately the socio-economic background of the majority of children in our community precludes them from being able to experience the joy of learning to play a musical instrument in the way that many more privileged communities regard as a norm. We hope with that the money raised all children will have the chance learn to play music and experience the magic and joy of music to a greater depth and provide them with a lifelong love of it.

iPads £339 each
We would love to be able to get some more iPads for the school so that they can be used with a whole class rather than just a small group as they are now. iPads provide a fun way of learning for all age groups across every subject area, whilst developing computing skills simultaneously.
