Friends of Page Park

Charity description

Friends of Page Park logo
Thank you for visiting our page on MyDonate. The Friends of Page Park Group is committed to regenerating and protecting Page Park in Staple Hill, South Gloucestershire. We are raising money to help complete the Heritage Lottery Project in the park.

The Friends of Page Park have been raising funding for over 15 years for numerous projects in Page Park including an accessible Sensory Garden, a new aviary, teenage play equipment and the restoration of the Edwardian bandstand. There has been an increase in the use of the park as a community space as a result.
In January 2016 we received £1,600,000 of funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund!  Park users will have seen the benefits of the new play area, new café and new toilets as well as tree and other plantings throughout the park.  Work on the paths and restoration of the drinking fountain will start in 2018.

We are in the final year of the project but we still need your help to raise the final £10,000 to ensure we can deliver all the promised benefits of this project this year.  We have already raised ancillary funds to support the project, which will go towards restoration of the drinking fountain and a new composting area among other things. Please dig deeply to support our cause and the local community in Staple Hill.
We are particularly grateful to all the members who work in the park to keep it looking so beautiful.
