Fair Connections Foundation
A new book and puppet set are being launched this February featuring Nepali animals based in Chitwan National Park with a rude Baby Monkey as the key character. The resource was piloted in Nepal in December and funds are now being raised to help provide as many schools as possible with both the story sack and book that supports it. The Baby Monkey story sack is particularly suitable for use in personal and social education.
We plan to work with clusters of schools so that training and follow up support can be provided to monitor the impact of these resources and to create connections between schools in Nepal who can share their experiences. By working with schools connected to the Pahar Trust, Global Action Nepal and other local educational NGOs we plan to expand our work and reach out to more schools in Nepal.
Every £150 raised means that one school will get:
• Baby Monkey and Adventures of Fairis a Nepali Frog books
• Two supporting story sacks – includes 20 puppets, 2 dolls, theatre back drop, puppet roll apron, access to lesson plans and ideas. All of the products are made in Nepal by local women and are fair trade WFTO certified
• Also training and support session in Nepal to help teacher make the most of this fantastic
If you would like to support this work please donate below and if you would like support particular clusters of schools in Nepal to be included in this initiative please make a comment when you donate so we can look into working with new partners.
