Educational Action Challenging Homophobia
Helpline support’s provided to young people experiencing homophobic, biphobic or transphobic bullying and we deliver training and consultancy to challenge HBT discrimination to a range of statutory and voluntary agencies.
Despite welcome legal improvements for lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans people there are still too many suffering in silence: finding themselves the target of someone else’s prejudice: being emotionally and physically affected.
EACH receives in excess of 600 reports annually of HBT harassment of young people. Our callers commonly require a sympathetic ear and reassurance regarding their rights however they also need robust action and advocacy.
Donations to EACH will go towards our Helpline for young people allowing:
- One-to-one casework for those experiencing HBT abuse
- Outreach to statutory and voluntary sector agencies to raise awareness of homophobia, biphobia and transphobia
- Training of volunteers to staff our Helpline services and stalls at seminars and conferences
