The Peace & Justice Centre has worked since 1980 to promote nonviolence, human rights, conflict resolution, and ecological sustainability and to create a culture of peace across Scotland.

Our main current projects are:

- Peacebuilding for Schools. Our team of Facilitators work in 3 or 4 schools per term to teach a culture of peace and help whole schools to establish Restorative practices for conflict resolution. 

- Our Opposing War Memorial is working to create a bronze peace tree memorial to conscientious objectors and all who oppose wari n Edinburgh's Princes St Gardens, a World Heritage site that is visited by millions of people annually. 

- Our Origami Peace Cranes project  holds workshops where people are making 140,000 origami cranes to remember Hiroshima and raise awareness of the Nuclear Weapons Ban Treaty.
