East Suffolk Association for the Blind
The primary aim of the association is to support and assist people with deteriorating sight to continue living independent, safe and socially inclusive lives in their own homes. This is achieved in many ways including; provision of Community Workers, who visit visually impaired people in their own homes to assess their needs and who then assist to implement an appropriate action plan, alongside this we provide District social groups that meet on a regular (monthly) basis for those who are mobile enough to attend same and organise outings to ensure members maintain an element of social interaction and interest. We liaise and cooperate with all the regional and national organisations within the visual impairment field as may be required to benefit all visually impaired individuals.
