Fundraising to build a village community centre

What will having a community centre mean for Duxford?

It’s going be a massive asset - a hub where villagers can meet, run clubs and host events. There will also be possibilities for village services, such as a weekly post-office, prescription pick up service and regular coffee mornings.

A community centre can be more than a building and Duxford has been looking forward to having a central hub for so long. With hard work from many community members over the years, savings have been accumulated, grants have been obtained and it’s now within our reach. We havesuccesfully reached £970,000, but we’re not quite there.

We need a giant push to get to the finish line. This is where you come in.

Join in the Dig Deep for Duxford fundraising event below to contribute and make a difference.

The success of the project depends on the support of local businesses and villagers to follow in the philanthropic footsteps of those who have already given to this village cause. You will help to provide facilities for the next hundred years.

Duxford Community Centre (DCC)  was constituted in 2014 and has three main objectives:
- to promote the benefits of the residents of Duxford, South Cambs, and the surrounding area by working with other organisations to provide educational, recreational and leisure-time facilities.
- to establish, or work towards establishing, a community centre and to maintain and manage it
- to promote other charitable purposes.
The charity is currently co-ordinating the final push towards fund raising for a village community centre.
Please donate to support our cause.
