The Duxford Parish Clock Appeal - can you spare 5 minutes?

The parish clock on the tower of St Peter's Church together with the church itself and the war memorial on its adjacent green, form a focal point within the village of Duxford in south Cambridgeshire. The clock has been telling the time for over 100 years but sadly no longer tells the right time.  The village needs to raise £8,000 to repair its mechanism and to bring its face and hands back to their former glory so that it is once again a beautiful and useful part of the village.
The Duxford Parish Clock Appeal was launched at the end of May 2017 and will run until the clocks go back, on Sunday 29th October 2017.
To help the appeal we are converting time into money, with one minute equalling £1.00. So a contribution of £5.00 will bring us 5 minutes closer to reaching our target. An official list of donors will record all those who have been able to spare an hour (£60.00) or more of their time.
However much time you can spare will be gratefully received.
