Charity description

Dr Jenner's House & Garden logo
Dr Jenner's House, Museum and Garden celebrates the life of Edward Jenner: the country doctor whose work changed the world.

Please donate to support our cause. We are a historic house museum that celebrates the life and achievements of Edward Jenner, the pioneer of vaccination against smallpox, and the father of the science of immunology. This beautiful Georgian house was where Jenner lived for 38 years until his death in 1823 and was the place where all his famous discoveries were made, most notably that immunity to cowpox also provided immunity to smallpox. It is often said that through Jenner's discovery of vaccination here in Gloucestershire he saved more people's lives than anyone who has ever lived. Please consider helping us to honour his legacy by promoting his life, career and achievements through the museum, and to advance the cause of human health and well-being through information and education about vaccination.
