Double R Arts

Charity description

Double R Arts logo
Double R Arts is an Youth Arts Charity that works with young people across South Ribble in Lancashire.   It’s main aims are to develop the performing arts skills, confidence and interpersonal skills of all those involved, empowering young people to become positive and believe in their own abilities whatever they may be.

We are not a stage school,  however we give all our members the opportunity to engage in different performing arts activities ranging from drama and dance to music and technical theatre.  We do perform regularly and the different groups tackle a range of subjects from the serious to the comic and the strange to the absurd.

For Double R Arts the development of the whole young person is very important - it's not just about how they perform on stage.  We care about them as individuals and will provide them with support and advice if needed.

All of our voluntary workers are DBS checked and have a range of experience of working with young people and in the performing arts (we have trained dancers, teachers, youth workers and volunteers with performing arts related degrees.)

However most of all we share the same ethos and have a real passion for the development of every young person that we work with.

Double R Arts allows young people of all ages, from different backgrounds to come together in a safe environment, try different things, develop their skills, grow in confidence, meet new people and most of all HAVE FUN!!

As a small local charity that charges a nominal cost to our members, we are always grateful for donations no matter how big or small.
