Please donate to support our cause. This medieval church is Grade I listed and the well-preserved Tudor Schoolroom was one of the first free schools in the country. Both have connections to nationally significant characters such as Robert Raikes, promoter of Sunday Schools, and George Whitefield, one of the founders of Methodism. We have developed a proposal to bring these buildings back into full use as a place of worship, a community hub and a venue for art and culture. We will improve the facilities, equip the space for community use, for art classes, music, drama, storytelling and poetry. There will be a learning plan for schools, a variety of opportunities for volunteering, work experience for young people and fresh interactive interpretation for all, enabling more people to engage with and enjoy their heritage. We have support from the Heritage Lottery Fund and have nearly reached our match funding target. Please donate now and help us to make these plans a reality.
