Our mission is to create art with people in Doncaster to improve life, learning and health. Our home, The Point, is a friendly and welcoming place, open to all. We offer lots of creative activity here, and in communities across the borough.

We're a friendly organisation offering a safe space to try different, sometimes challenging, and often transformative creative activities.

We have 27 years’ experience and know that taking part in creative activity helps people fulfil their potential by making positive changes; big and small.

Our objectives focus on key areas: work in schools, with children & young people living with disability, with vulnerable children & young people, with adults experiencing mental health issues and those with long-term health conditions, particularly dementia.

We are a charity reliant on funding to transform people's lives. By making a donation you will enable us to continue to work alongside people in Doncaster.

Our current Fundraising Campaign is Singing for Memory.

Dementia can be hugely isolating both for those living with the condition and their family members. Singing for Memory provides a safe space for people with dementia and their family carers to make friends, have fun, sing songs they know and write new ones. Professional musicians lead the sessions, making the most of people’s talents and ensuring there’s plenty of time to drink tea, chat, share stories and celebrate achievements.
For family members and carers, it’s a vital opportunity to meet with a network of others in similar situations. The sessions help people feel less isolated and, by attending alongside the person with dementia, they are doing something enjoyable together and creating shared memories.

One family member said “My dad has dementia and it can be difficult to be his son, as well as his carer. We come to The Point because it is friendly and welcoming – it feels like a safe space and I don’t have to constantly be on my toes. Dad can be quite difficult at home, but when he comes to Singing for Memory he is happy and smiling!"

Donate now to enable Singing for Memory to continue.
