Charity description

Corbenic Camphill Community Ltd logo
Our Community has been a home for people with social, emotional, intellectual and learning disabilities in the heart of Scotland since 1978, providing day and residential care in beautiful surroundings near Dunkeld, Perthshire. One of Care Inspectorate’s reports about Corbenic stated that: “the service does very well in providing a ‘holistic’ approach………this means that it considers all aspects of a person’s life, including physical and mental health, realising potential, promoting independence and promoting choice and dignity.” They have given us Good or Very Good gradings since November 2012. This approach is at the heart of our ethos and represents what we hope to achieve within our community.

We are looking for support that will help us address the issue of our waiting list and the community’s needs by adding two residential places and creating a much-needed therapy room as well as improve the guest facilities for visiting parents and professionals - and relocate staff accommodation to make the new places possible.

The Iona Project – so-called because the new bed-sitting rooms will be in our Iona House – will cost just over £130,000, of which we already have £60,000 guaranteed. All donations received through BT Donate until the end of March 2019 will be used for this project. If you would like to know more about us then please visit our website (address below).

Your donation for this project, however, small, is vital and we would ask that you give serious consideration to this appeal.

A heartfelt thank you in advance on behalf of all the residents at Corbenic.
