Chris Walker Memorial Trust

Charity description

Chris Walker Memorial Trust logo
The Chris Walker Memorial Trust has been set up to remember Chris Walker who lost his life on Wednesday 24th Feb, 2010 when he was taken by an avalanche over steep ground, whilst descending from Buachaille Etive Mor.

The Chris Walker Memorial Trust has been set up to help others who share the same passion for the mountains as Chris. The Trust will award an annual grant to help fund mountaineering expeditions.

The Trust will also provide funding on an annual basis to
provide additional training in avalanche awareness in Scotland to British Mountain Guides and members of the Association of Mountaineering Instructors.
To continue contributing to mountain safety the trust welcomes donations to further these aims.

Please give £2 a month...
By setting up a regular gift, you’ll help fund continuing Avalanche Training in Scotland - allowing Guides and Instructors to make a vital contribution to winter safety.

That’s just 6p a day to help prevent avalanche accidents in Scotland and fund exploratory trips to the Greater Ranges.
