Carmunnock Heritage Society

Charity description

Carmunnock Heritage Society logo
Planning for the future. Protecting the past.

The society was set up in 1964 to purchase the Glebe at the centre of the village and so prevent the land being sold for housing. One hundred villagers generously agreed to raise £4,500, over a period of 5 years, to purchase the Glebe for the lasting benefit of the Village.

Since then, many people have voluntarily guided the Society and given of their time and energy to preserve the continuity of the Society and its aim of ‘preserving the special rural, architectural, and historic character of our Village, strengthen local historical awareness and pride among residents and broaden public awareness of Carmunnock’s rich built heritage at local and national levels.'

We would like to invite you to donate and support our village.
