Charity description

Bitterne Parish Church logo
We are a lively Anglican church, with people of all ages and from many different church backgrounds worshipping together. We seek to be bible-centred in our worship, ministry and outreach, and open to the renewing work of the Holy Spirit.

Whether you’re already a Christian, or beginning to ask questions about God, you’ll find a warm welcome here. Join us for one of our services at Holy Saviour Church, opposite the Red Lion pub in Bitterne Precinct, or see our main website (at the link below) to find out more.

Our Site Redevelopment project

We are making plans to redevelop our church buildings, so they are suitable for a wide range of community use and are generally more warm and comfortable.  Our vision is to create an accessible, flexible community hub for Bitterne and the surrounding parts of Southampton.

Our plans at the moment are to:
  • Re-order the main church space with comfortable chairs that can be moved to suit a range of different purposes
  • Extend the church room to accommodate various community groups and our own activities
  • Fit internal 'pod' rooms at the back of the church to be used for meetings, small groups, and our own staff office
