40tude curing colon cancer

Charity description

40tude curing colon cancer logo
40tude curing colon cancer is a rapidly expanding group of people who have decided to take action against colon cancer, the second biggest cancer killer in the Western world.

Since it was founded in 2011, 40tude has raised over £1 million for St. Mark’s Hospital in Harrow, supporting the development of bespoke, pioneering research programmes targeted at the early diagnosis and treatment of colon cancer.

40tude is helping to fund the PERFECTS programme, designed to improve the quality and availability of CT Colonographies (a 'gold standard' form of screening) across the NHS.  We are supporting also the PROGRESS project to provide a better understanding of polyps (pre-cancerous growths found in the colon) from which cancer develops and how individuals are affected by them.

To find out more about these programmes we're helping to fund, please visit www.40tude.org.uk

Join us for our fund raising Challenges: our London Stand Up Paddleboard Marathon on the River Thames (usually in June), our annual 3.5 day, fully-guided Cycle Challenge in the Autumn or, in January 2019, our Sahara Desert Challenge.  Alternatively we would love to hear from you if you would like to fund raise for us when you undertake your own personal challenge.
